I used to live in Cincinnati.

I was a runner. A witch. A white witch, an earth witch.

Things happened.

I used to have friends. People I loved. People who mattered.

Not anymore.

I killed them.

Now I have a demon curse inside of me. One I've formed a tenuous balance with, but one that seeks to destroy me nonetheless. It urges me to run, to hunt, it gives me power I don't understand and shouldn't use. But I do. Because there's nothing left.

I'm Rachel Mariana Morgan.

I'm a black ley line witch.

And I've really got nothing left to lose.
